AFC is in need of a varsity volleyball coach for the 2022-2023 school year. Applicants must have coaching experience and knowledge of volleyball. They must be able to work with the team during the summer months, camp, league, etc, as well as open gyms during the off season. Applicants can send their resume and letter of interest to Traci Gittleson at tgittleson@afcschools.net.

HS Basketball Updates:
The JV girls game at Forreston on Wednesday starts at 5:30 with varsity to follow. The schedule and calendar originally had start time as 6:00. This has been changed.
Friday's girls game is a varsity only game starting at 6:00.
The boys and girls teams will both be playing at Serena on Saturday.
JV boys will play in their secondary gym and varsity girls will play in their main gym beginning at 3:00. JV girls will play in their secondary gym and varsity boys will play in their main gym following the 3:00 games.

6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls basketball practice begins today after school in the junior high gym in Ashton and will last until 5:00. 6th grade girls will ride their bus or the shuttle bus to the Jr/Sr HS and parents can pick them up in Ashton at 5:00. 6th grade practices will be in Ashton today, tomorrow, and possibly Wednesday. Coach Penick will let the girls know when practices will be at the elementary school. If there are any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Gittleson at tgittleson@afcschools.net.

The Elementary School's Christmas Music Program is this evening in the new gym at the Jr/Sr High. The program will begin at 7:00 PM. It will be LIVE streamed to the Ashton Franklin Center School District's Facebook page as well. As a friendly reminder, masks are required for all in-person attendees.
The students have been working so hard and are very excited to showcase their musical talents. We look forward to seeing you there!
Practice for 6/7/8 girls basketball will begin Monday, January 3 after school in the JH gym in Ashton until 5:00. A letter is being sent home today with 6th grade girls about basketball and getting to Ashton for practice.
6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls' basketball registration is now open on the AFC athletics site. Parents need to register their daughters online if their girls plan on playing basketball.
